Phone buying guides for Egypt
Which phone is actually worth buying at each budget in Egypt, decided by the live prices we track across Egyptian stores and Instagram sellers — not by a list someone wrote once and forgot.
How we pick: we take every phone in the bracket that has at least one live offer, rank by the cheapest price any tracked seller is asking today, and flag the ones worth a second look — the outright cheapest, the one the most sellers stock, and the biggest price fall of the last 30 days. Prices move daily, so this page rebuilds itself every time it is refreshed.
Best phones under 10,000 EGP in Egypt
Under 10,000 EGP is Egypt's entry-level bracket, and it is dominated by Infinix, Tecno, Redmi and the cheaper Realme C-series, plus Nokia's feature phones at the very bottom. Expect 4G rather than 5G, 64–128GB of storage, LCD screens at HD+ or FHD+, and big 5,000mAh batteries that genuinely last two days.
Best phones from 10,000 to 20,000 EGP in Egypt
This is the sweet spot of the Egyptian market and where most people actually buy. The bracket covers Samsung's Galaxy A-series, Redmi Note models, Realme's numbered line and Honor's X-series. You start getting AMOLED panels with 90–120Hz refresh, 128–256GB of storage, 6–8GB of real RAM, and 5G on a good number of models.
Best phones from 20,000 to 40,000 EGP in Egypt
Between 20,000 and 40,000 EGP you are buying near-flagship hardware: Samsung's Galaxy S FE and A5x/A7x models, Xiaomi's numbered flagships, Honor and Oppo's upper mid-range, and older iPhone generations that have dropped into this bracket. Expect flagship-grade chips a year old, 120Hz AMOLED, optical image stabilisation and proper fast charging.
Best phones over 40,000 EGP in Egypt
Above 40,000 EGP the Egyptian market is essentially iPhones and Samsung's Galaxy S Ultra line, with a few Chinese flagships alongside them. Egypt is one of the more expensive places in the world to buy these, because import duties and currency moves land on top of the global price — which is exactly why the gap between the cheapest and most expensive local seller can run into thousands of pounds on the same box.
Biggest phone price drops in Egypt this month
Every price change we record is kept as a dated snapshot rather than overwritten, which means we can show what actually moved instead of guessing. These are the largest price falls and rises across all tracked Egyptian sellers over the last 30 days, biggest move first.
